Overtime Boxing's Gonzalo Sandoval (2-1) won a decision in the quarterfinals of the 156-pound Novice (Under 21) Division on the first night of the Chicago Golden Gloves on March 11th . Sandoval will next box in the semifinals on March 20 th .
Sid Medrano (1-3) recived a bye in the 178-pound Senior Novice (21 and over) Division to advance to the quarterfinals. Medrano's quarterfinal bout will be on March 19 th .
Also competing in the Chicago Golden Gloves for Overtime Boxing is Sam Ferguson (1-0), who is scheduled to first compete on March 12th in the 200-pound Senior Novice Division, and Jon Yu (0-0), who is scheduled to compete on March 25 th in the 125-pound Senior Novice Division.
Ferugson's first bout will be prior to the semifinals, while Yu will not box until at least the semifinals because of a smaller bracket.
